SWS:

As the low pressure system moves closer inland overnight, the western sections of Metro Vancouver and southern sections of Howe Sound will also see southeasterly winds strengthening Monday morning to 50 gusting to 80 km/h before tapering off Monday afternoon.

As of now, there is moderate confidence for the strongest winds to be over West & North Vancouver Island and that the low pressure system will track across northern Vancouver Island. Warnings will likely be issued as the event draws closer and when higher confidence can be established regarding the intensity and track of the system.

I wonder what will be washing up on the shore of Vanc Island? I remember some wild stories, I think there were running shoes, and people would post trying to find a matching pair, another one was rubber toys and people were trying to collect the full set.

00Z Euro continues to show unusually heavy amounts of rain late next week for Abbotsford. No rain shadow this time? :hmm:
