Same here in Cranbrook.

I drove to the upper elevations of Kimberley and it was snowing there. Back in town, it was a rain/snow mix. Not long till it snows here in Cbrook.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

The warmer air has been pushed into a more southerly track due to the colder offshore SST's. Tell em Nito!!! 8-) 8-)

Compared to Blobby years, where well into November or even December in a neutral ENSO or Weak LN, we are getting hammmmmmmered with AR events with Highs around 12-14c and L around 6-9c. But this year is different butties!  :nocomment:

Another chance to see the northern lights, conveniently timed for a spell of clear weather?

Wow. I'm only at 39.1 mm here. Looks like the Atmospheric River went a bit further south than modelled, which favoured Chilliwack for the heaviest precipitation. The RGEM kept going back and forth on the exact location of the heaviest rainfall, so this is not a surprising result. In terms of the intensity of the event, I'd say the RGEM did a good job but the heaviest precipitation was focussed east of Abbotsford, which was not suggested by the majority of runs but no model is perfect.

When we lived down at Kits beach from the lobby of our apartment we could see the temperature read out from the Molson tower at the south end of the Burrard St. bridge.
I remember it dropped to 17f by 2a.m. l use to sneak down to look but l think my mom knew but never said anything. of course from school you could see it and walking to school l spent lots of day's checking the temperature, man those were the day's. l tried to look up any pictures of it but haven't found anything it was triangle shape on a tower that use to turn.
It showed current weather either snow rain dull or sun, time and temp.
Yes indeed , those were the days my friend , I thought they'd never end. Moved to Vanouver in the Summer of 69 , 7th ave & Pine st , stared at that humungous big Molson tower almost everyday that 1st summer as my mother,my sister and myself would walk down Burrard st and then left on Cornwall st on our way to Kits beach. There were many many sunny days that summer. Don't even remember any rain.
