Recent examples being 2017-18, 2011-12, 2010-11 and 2006-07.
l think that's cause 96 had feetzzzz of snow Tbones.

Vanity Fare, Mungo Jerry, Simon & Garfunkel, BJ Thomas.
It's a crystal clear night here in the central fraser valley.
Had to look on Google maps, I believe it was Lord Tennyson, but only lasted about a month or two,we moved a little further east as my parents decided to buy a house on 17th ave between Heather st and Cambie, for a grand total of $17,000. :o . That's where I frolicked in the mega snows for the next couple of winters. Listened to cfun and cklg for my tunes in the early 70's, listening to the end of year top 100 was a must, and of course watching American bandstand and the Midnight Special.
My other connection with Kits Beach was in 1977 my graduation year , was catching some rays and listening to some tunes on my transistor radio and then there was an announcement that Elvis Presley died, now that was a shock as he wasn't that old.

 Did the same, New Years eve and New Years day wasn’t CKLG the top 73 eventually? how about when CFUN switched formats to all news CKVN. I was all over the dial then CKWX, NW even CJOR l was a radio DXer.
Eventually CKVN switched back to CFUN afew years later. Remember the train at Kits beach use to play on that thing didn't they restore and move it downtown? I remember seeing it housed in some bldg. close to BC. Place. Also don't forget Cable 10 weather readings those round dials it use to pan through them. Stop for a minute usually some community announcement or cable info.then pan back.
I use to ask my parents can l check the weather readings think l drove them crazy with that channel.
Looks like the NEeasterly's are picking up in the central valley now.
