Ya, this weather has been crazy. I hope it translates into a massive snow storm this winter.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I know this is not weather related but if you need gas get it this morning Chilliwack folks supply is running out.
I was sble to fill up at the Shell @ Vedder rd and Luckakuck way l got premium at the regular grade price. I asked the attendant when they might run out he figured tomorrow or late tonight. This will become a crisis in Chilliwack with nothing able to come into town and with all major routes blocked food or fuel can't be delivered out here.
Why is there no media information on this l counted 4 stations with out of fuel signs.

That's great news. Likely in part to the sandbaggers
Maybe a lesson for generations ahead..no dont dike a river and eliminate a lake. There is a reason why the lake was there. Especially on the Wetcoast. The power of H2O cannot be stopped

There is a huge fire at that location right now - that's Cropac Crane's yard as well as a storage area for Fraser Valley RV.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:08 am O' Connor RV or l'm thinking the crane place.
Those cars in the parking lot are stranded or underwater soon.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
It's worse than that in that almost all milk is processed in Abbotsford, so all dairy farms here in the Okanagan have been ordered to dump all their milk for the foreseeable future because it's illegal to sell unpasteurized milk, and all milk is trucked to Abbotsford for pasteurization.
There will be a huge shortage of dairy products. At least with eggs I know a lot of people who have local eggs for sale, but with milk my dairy farmer friend says he would be fined big time if he sold me any milk.

Maybe highway 7 can open soon? I know they were allowing some people through last night but may have been shut down again.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 4:05 am I know this is not weather related but if you need gas get it this morning Chilliwack folks supply is running out.

Yes that’s true , and all chillliwack farms have to dump their milk as well, so the only milk supply for bc are the Abbotsford and west dairy farms at the moment.Glacier wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:03 am It's worse than that in that almost all milk is processed in Abbotsford, so all dairy farms here in the Okanagan have been ordered to dump all their milk for the foreseeable future because it's illegal to sell unpasteurized milk, and all milk is trucked to Abbotsford for pasteurization.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
This is most excellent news.
I live about 70 feet above the sumas prairie and can see the water recession this morning. It is a welcome sight. It appears to be down well over 12" from the height yesterday. There are still several cows standing in front of the Westgen building - yesterday they were wading knee deep all day without the ability to lie down. It appears they are standing on dry land right now which is another welcome sight.
