Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Thankfully tomorrow’s storm missed to the south. Only 5-10mm here. But 20-30mm closer to the storm track thru southern Puget sound
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Early word is that Highway #3 appears to be in good shape which is remarkable. Flood waters have receded in Princeton as well.
That's where the good news end. Numerous structures and roadways appear to be wiped out or have been rendered inoperable along Highway #1 in the Canyon, up to Lytton and along Hwy #1 through Spences Bridge. A dozen bridges and culverts will need to be rebuilt since the debris flow have worn away at the foundations.
Biggest technical challenge in these areas is that work will need to be done with dry conditions and temperatures above +12C to allow concrete to cure and settle.

It was cold enough for frost to come out of a rotting branch that I found in the forest by my house.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Better than nothing, but that highway is not a fun drive during winter storms. There will be a lot of traffic being funneled through that route.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:21 am Early word is that Highway #3 appears to be in good shape which is remarkable. I wonder if they will be imposing some sort of travel restrictions.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
We actually just moved a few blocks away so I need to put it up at the new house. Just haven't had time yet as we were deep into the renovations during the last couple of months.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:38 am Mr. Nipples meant to ask you are you going to fix your station it's been offline for months? what happened l use to check it daily.
