Merry Christmas everyone! :D

Next time you're at Ikea pick up a couple of fish friends, they've got more fins to lend.

Sardineman I think I had a one time payment of $13 for RadarScope, once you use it you can’t use anything else, it’s just that good

I need to measure my total so far. I'd guess that we awoke to about 5-7 cm or so this morning. Had about another 2 cm throughout the day, I think. But now it's coming down in buckets again and I can tell that the path my husband shovelled when we got home is already filling in. I'm sure we have at least 10 cm right now...my unofficial guess is 12 cm at the moment. I want to go measure but I'm too lazy to go get my boots and coat.

I'm so tired, I had 3 hours of sleep last night (that's what happens when you procrastinate Christmas planning) and I'm dying to sleep but I'm forcing myself to stay awake. This feeling of a white Christmas with snow falling heavily and the promise of another snow day tomorrow doesn't come along often. It's worth forcing myself go stay awake for. In fact, I'd be mad if I fell asleep.

But I'm wayyyyy to tired to go outside in it, haha.

Here's the current view out my front door.

Impressive amount. I get it, it's hard to end a perfect day. I'm done though and off to bed. I'll take my flashlight (no street lights out here) and check out my window throughout the night.

Happy Snow day!!!

Just peeked outside and I think it looks like about 10 cm. So I probably had 7 cm this morning, another 1 cm throughout the day and then 2cm since getting home at about 11:00pm but it's accumulating fast now. If it would keep falling at this rate I would be VERY happy. For this area of Maple Ridge, anything over 15 cm is a very decent score. 20 cm is a fairly rare event, doesn't happen every year. I seem to live in some kind of wind/dry zone. Quite often I look on radar and areas just west and east of me are getting precip when I'm not. It's almost like I am right on an invisible line between Metro Van and the Fraser Valley with two zones of very different weather on each side of me but I'm stuck in the middle. I am no expert but I think Golden Ears Mountain just to the north east of me affects my microclimate.
