That seems a bit fishy. As far as I'm aware, no other station came anywhere near that. Monday morning was the coldest morning at practically every other station.

The hourly reports show -15.9C, though, so conceivably it could have briefly hit -16.9C. The thermometers they use now are far more sensitive than what was used back in 1985.
