I agree it is a great outlet, I just haven't put a priority on creative projects lately, maybe 2022?VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 9:04 pm Very kind of you. And go for it! I find it to be a valuable outlet sometimes for off days.
If I do I'll post here. Do you write a lot?

Re: Music
I try to. Not much makes it to a presentable stage though, maybe a couple to a handful a year. My muse appears about as fleetingly as a cold snap in Vancouver. Would love to see something of yours make it here though.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 9:40 pm I agree it is a great outlet, I just haven't put a priority on creative projects lately, maybe 2022?

You say to the presentable stage, do you publish them?
I'll see what I can do

One year I wrote a short story for the Polar Expressions contest and got it published by them. A fairly easy feat, they take 25-50% of the submitted stories and then try to sell you the published book with all the stories. They do have an annual poetry contest: https://www.polarexpressions.ca/ it's free to enter and then you can say you're a published author!

I'll have to one day share my music here but it would have to be released first which is taking half a decade.

That's very good Vancity. Have you seen agt 2020 winner Poet Brandon Leake ?VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 9:47 pm I mostly share with a small array of friends. Haven't worked up the courage to publish anything.
I suppose writing original songs and poems are quite similar, for some reason rewriting lyrics to make a parody song comes fairly easy to me,and although I've never tried it I think writing an original song would be much more difficult for me,especially when I can't read music or play any instruments .
Musically do you like U2?
