Cloudy and 4.3c, dp 2.9c here. Light SW winds.

Had a few moderate SE wind gusts earlier but nothing crazy. Temp didn't spike up too much either - high of 4.5c today.

Even with relatively mild upper level temps, a clear night with deep fresh snowcover can produce some impressive surface temps. Look to Feb 1990 as an example of this. We had a massive snowstorm on Valentine's Day (IIRC 30-60cm fell in two days) and temps plunged at night in the following days, even though there was little upper level support.

I do think our current snowpack will help keep the surface temperatures cold. If the Wednesday night snowstorm verifies and there is limited melting over the next few days, some areas could see some impressive snow depths.

It's insane im over it, completely exhausted and now the garage is flooding from frozen drains and down spouts. My body feels like someone hit me with their vehicle from shovelling snow and my sloped driveway is now an ice rink.....Fun fun times I tell ya. I love the snow It's my favorite and I wait for it every year but to get slammed by a foot after a foot and then rain is rough but hey im always excited for the next snow fall, true story

Still have a decent amount of snow here in Langley. About 3 to 4 inches at least most places. Looking forward to adding to that. Hopefully those convective bubbles unload some snow on us tomorrow. If not..looks like we dont have to wait much longer. KING GFS!

Tuesday and Wednesday maps look somewhat realistic but there is no chance in hell we'll have 7" of snow (or even half that) by 4pm tomorrow.

How do these amounts compare with the GFS and GEM for Wednesday night/Thursday? Seems like the euro is on the lower end.
