195.9 is right in line where gas prices should be in the Fraser Valley. Anything higher, and you're getting hosed (distribution and profit shouldn't be any higher than 8 cents/l).

It's got to be some kind of independent station selling at that absolutely insane price Glace.
All the other major gas stations in the fraser valley are @ 192.9 to 197.9c.

So the price for a barrel of oil has dropped to just under a 100.00 bucks, so let me guess prices will still rise. :wtf:

Wholesale rack prices have dropped over 22 cents in a week. The "distribution and profit should be around 5 cents in southern BC cities, so expect prices at the pump to drop down to 160 or so in the next week or so.

there will always be these types of stories about oil. Back in the 90's when I started in the financial industry there was a popular story going around, complete with multipage bound "sources" in a book format even! Apparently the reason the price per oz of gold was so low (sub $300/oz) is that Saudi Arabia was buying up all the gold. apparently they wanted to wait until reserves were very low and then they would only accept gold if a country wished to purchase their oil.

there are a lot of oil bugs out there (probably half of Alberta!) that will always try to talk up the price of oil. fear mongering yes, but more likely people who are still in the red from their investments the last time oil was above $100/barrel

Gas is still overpriced in Abbotsford by over 10 cents/l, even with today's rise in wholesale prices. Gas in Vancouver is not overpriced.

We've been paying the same or more than Vancouver all month, even though our taxes are about 11 cents less. That's only fair because of how much we have to drive, but we're being hosed right now.

There is something wrong with Gas Buddy lately. For certain stations they are showing the premium prices as regular, unless people are just entering them wrong. This seemed to start happening recently, though.
