High humidity like the folks experience back east rarely happens around here. I highly doubt Richmond recorded anything close to 37° this summer. White Rock/South Surrey/Tsawwassen maybe had a cupla days of 30-32° so far.

I hit 35-37 with humidity multiple times last heatwave wasn't fun lol

Vancouver is still living off its pre-2000s reputation. It's actually nothing special these days.

Vancouver is going downhill and no one can deny that, Look at all the crazy crimes happening now.

I definitely don't like excessive humidity and would rather avoid extremely warm nights too. Though I guess I'm lucky as I don't have much trouble sleeping when it's warm in the house (as in >25c), as I frequently see others do so warm nights don't bother me too much.

For me, a summer day with a high/low of 35c/12c with low humidity would be nice.

I wish I was the same but if it's extremely hot at night I'll be awake till 4 am suffering

We live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world , can you see yourself living anywhere else?
How you liking the small town/remote feel to Gibsons/Sechelt? Can you see yourself moving there?

Moving isn’t really a realistic option because of ties to my job and extended family. If that was not the case, then yeah, I could. Also, complaints about the weather and the demise of our climate does not or should not equate to an automatic suggestion to move. In my opinion.

I can’t think of any cosmopolitan cities anywhere in North America as close to as many mountains and islands. And most cities in North America badly damaged their downtowns by ramming multiple freeways through them.

Welp.. jack squat on radar. Of course, we miss out on any storms once again. Honestly, how pathetic is this place for any exciting weather. All we get is rain or heat.

I agree with you. As locals we hear a lot of about our local problems and focus on those. Vancouver isn't perfect, but it doesn't deserve the "pile of steaming garbage" moniker.

That being said almost any European city would outclass us. I chose therefore to highlight where you said North America.

I do stand by my pile of steaming garbage comment in regards to the demise of our local climate.

That really sucks. I totally understand why you'd hate the warmer temps if that's the case every time we get heat spikes in the summer.
