My money is on the GFS overdoing the cold air advection (as usual).

But only if there is no snow on the ground. If there is snow on the ground then it makes for a great snowpack preserver.

For the initial stages of the coming event, it's really looking like there will not be. At least in the lowlands.

I think there may be some snow in places on Sunday night. Probably not a lot but I bet there will be some white lawns on Monday morning
