Did see some light hail in South Surrey today, as well as heavy rain.
Didn't feel the earthquake though.

Wow holy smokes.....so I drove from Van to Poco in the eye of the storm about 10:40am. I have never driven on the highway at 50km with everyone else doing the same!

Full on torrential rain, sleet hail, could barely see there was a river coming down on my windshield. I think I drove with the storm for 20 mins!

Major flooding on the highway, thunder and lighting. My windshield wipers couldn't keep up......Really don't want to do that again that was insane!

Luckily the sun was out for the drive home, what a crazy storm. Phew.

GFS develops an interesting little feature Sunday morning. Almost a mini-windstorm across Southern VI. Looks like NAM and HRDPS have it too but far enough up the Island to mean little to nothing for us. Something to keep an eye on?
2025-26 season stats:
Climo :cancel: ∞ to 0.5 :14clown: GFS

Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)

Perhaps. Looks breezy, but nothing too severe. Monty and Western sections of Metro Vancouver get in on it. The Euro isn’t as enthusiastic though for the Lower Mainland.

I suspect we may see wind warnings Sunday morning. SE gusting to 80kmh turning SW for southern Vancouver Island. I’m supposed to be on the 7am ferry Sunday. Hope the wind doesn’t verify.

This is about as strong as the winds get on all three global models.

They seem to push the cancel button pretty quickly on the ferries these days. So we will see. Above 70-80kmh off Tsawwassen seems to be enough.
