I went golfing at Riverway. I don't know what came over me. Insanity, perhaps. Either way, I've played golf in Malaysia in August as well, and I'm genuinely not certain which was worse.

Most likely the problem overhead tree canopy doesn't allow heat to escape. I wonder where the Sechelt station is located.
Still irks me there's no station in Spences Bridge.

Hey guys there is some type of infestation of bugs outside right now all over the neighbourhood. These flying bugs are only swarming leafy plants and trees. Not cedars or evergreens. They are rust coloured and are slightly smaller than a bumble be and make a buzzing sound slightly lower than a bumblebee. Never saw this before, it's gross. They won't land so I can get a look at them but they seem to fly slow. Is it some type of beetle? :eh:

I don't know how good the mm5 is with our specific geography, but the 4km meteogram has 100 at YVR, which would be all sorts of insane...

We’ve had our power out since 330pm. Ridiculous. Luckily our basement is cool, so we’ve relocated there for the moment.

Cicadas maybe?I vaguely remember them saying something about them surfacing this year in large numbers, which they do every so many years. I think every 15-20 years or so?

I noticed them about 10 days ago in Abby -- exactly as you describe. Some type of bee, I think. Nuptial flight.

Ya, I call BS on whatever they say all the time. It's to whatever looks good on them. This proves they are full of it.

Perhaps. That's what I thought, but they seem so small and no sound that makes them identifiable.
