November thru February is godly in Atlin but I'd lend Vancouver my vote because I value the other 8 months of the year.
Summers there can be total Sh*t or very nice. Apparently summer 2020 was pretty bad there with lots of rain. I would wager that summers are sunnier than not though, thanks to the precip shadow the immense mountains to the west create.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Tonight is so stressful.

Our family cabin is in the path of the Tremont Fire and may not make it through the night. My grandparents just got put on Evac due to Mount Law Fire.

I'd assume they're prone to longer periods of clouds and showers during summer than we are owing to their northerly location (which ironically probably also beefs up those sunshine hours due to the long days). Heat is sorely lacking too.

Looks like a fairly solid bout of showers tomorrow morning thru Tuesday afternoon for much of the south coast and the southern interior.

Could be very chilly next weekend with a low dropping down the coast. Day 7 highs barely cracking 15/16c.

Ridge axis never quite makes it too far east and it retrogrades over the GOA late this week. Opens the door for rounds of showers and a relatively chilly period thereafter with that low sliding down the coast and hanging around the PNW/Western Canada for 4-5 days. Unofficial end of summer? Coincides nicely with the start of the PNE... as usual.

Yup the old PNE curse.
Hoping any more sunshine we get will be comfortable temps. It sucks we lacked any good light shows with all the heat but the flow was never conducive for any.
