Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
Yay! It's finally raining here. We've had a few light sprinkles over the past couple of weeks but nothing serious and the ground is quite dry. I set up the sprinklers earlier today and now it's raining...that works for me

Is there some trick to make the University of Washington weather radar page incorporate Canadian radar stations? Or, failing that, some site that does a decent job of displaying Canadian weather radar data?
Because as of right now, it has the standard craptacular, shaded-nearly-to-death-by-terrain, coverage of Whatcom County and the Lower Mainland that the Camano Island radar always has, with no evidence of any data from Aldergrove at all.

Yup. Tuesday afternoon/evening could be interesting. Decent CAPE values for these parts and a trough lifting out over the region.

l always thought the U dub site was pretty good there's an environment Canada app. called Weather Can you can try that's available in the app store not sure if it will work in Whatcom county. Radar may be accessible but not local conditions.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 3:54 pm Is there some trick to make the University of Washington weather radar page incorporate Canadian radar stations? Good idea Ms. Creeker lots of good choices on Amazon l wouldn't go with a local hardware store one they are usually designed more as garden decoration and not accurate.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:35 am Another good day of rain, probably 3 cm over the last two days... EC has pulled back abit on temps later this week mid 20's instead of upper 20's. I'll take that. Included now is a risk of Tstorms for the central valley the next couple day's l doubt that but l hope so. I recieved 8.3mm of rain this last week snd 31.6mm for the month here in south Sardis, lame.

Wow you keep getting ripped off eh? I usually assume your area will do well but there's a weird storm track that keeps happening.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:40 am EC has pulled back abit on temps later this week mid 20's instead of upper 20's. Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
Unfortunately, Osoyoos passed Vancouver by a 1.6 degrees by the end of the day (maxing out at 23.8C). Had Vancouver held on, it would have been a new record. Still, at just 1.6C below the Provincial hot spot on June 10th, is closer than Vancouver has come to the BC hotspot in June that I've ever seen. In 2020 Vancouver was 2.4C behind Bella Colla, and 2012 Vancouver was 2.6 degrees behind Lillooet. That's has close as Vancouver has been to being a provincial hotspot in June prior to the 10th of this month.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 8:57 pm When was the last time YVR was the hot spot?l only reached 19.8c today weird.

Vancouver can definitely be the provincial hotspot, but it has never happened in the summer months. The last time was November 15, 2020 when Vancouver was tied with Lillooet for the highest maximum temperature at 11.6
This is 1 of 11 days since 2004 when Vancouver was the BC hotspot. 5 were in February, 2 in March, 2 in January, and 2 in November.
The warmest day in which Vancouver was the BC hotspot was January 12, 2010 when the temperature was 13.4.
BTW, the 22.2C at YVR on the 10th seems to be flagged and is showing as missing until reviewed. Sea Island, Burns Bog, Vancouver Harbour, etc. were all less than 19 that day.
