Speaking of scary, did you know that Gumps is one of only 4 goalies in NHL history to play 20 NHL seasons? (the others being Brodeur, Vanbiesbrouck, and Sawchuk)

Geesh Glace no mask shots to the head indeed what a warrior scary too.
But the scariest incident happened to another goaltender Clint Malarchuk of the Buffalo Sabres on March 22nd, 1989.
And with this being Halloween month you could probably look up scary on ice incidents over the years. IMO the video of the Malarchuk incident is the sickest l've seen. This isn't the video it's too gross but this is his story of recovery afterwards.
