Heard its pretty dire now along portions of Hwy #1. Lots of erosion along portions of the roadway and several bridges as well. Lytton may very well be a ghost town the next few months.

We don’t need anymore rain but that doesn’t look like it will happen.
Crazy how in the summer we couldn’t buy a drop of rain and everything was beyond dry. Now we can’t escape the rain.

There will be more deaths for sure. Extreme weather is rocketing up the list of causes of death in this province.

I think people have had a bit to much of Covid articles being posted and not about the real news going on in BC…

At the press conference they asked that anyone who was at the scene to contact the RCMP. Might want to let your friend know.

To be honest, it's a real possibility given the extremes we have been experiencing lately. No guarantees though. One can only hope.

I could just as easy see us not having a full blown great winter. These extremes don’t mean we are going to see historical cold or snow. As much as I hope I’m wrong I’m just in wait and see mode. This climate more often then not screws us when it comes to snow.

This could easily be a nightmare scenario: 1999-2000.

The shelves are already bare in interior towns. Called my mom up, barely any groceries and of course no emergency supply because who would do a silly thing like that?

I bloody well hope not.

Would mean more constant rain and no dry spells to speak of.

Major cold extremes are really on the downturn. YVR hasn't had a high/low combo below -5c/-10c since 2008, and before that 1996 which is really pathetic.
