That is a striking run to run change. If we could keep that going into the next few model runs then we're in business.

Like I said earlier, the long range is still yet to be determined.

Komo
Colder air in the wake of the front combines with lingering moisture to produce lowland snow showers into Friday morning. The foothills stand the best chance of seeing up to an inch of accumulation. But a quick burst of wet snow elsewhere will have the potential for a brief coating in spots.
Lighter mountain snow during the day on Friday may improve cross-Cascade travel temporarily before the next dumping Friday night. Steady lowland rain Friday will turn more showery by the weekend, with periodic bursts of wet snow Saturday and Sunday near sea level.

Low res snow maps showing snow falling at 1C at 925mb are the issue. Modeling can help show a system track but manual input of data and proper interpretation can help determine an outcome. Twitter mets are going to either learn or keep chasing carrots.

You were hoping for lots of +12C rain last month.
I did, but we got snow instead. I’ll take that trade every single time.

This +2C rain/drizzle sucks. Would have preferred +12C rain today.

I thought you wanted mountain snow? You can't have both +12c rain and mountain snow.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!
