Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
lol..so let me see whats trending...
Rainy weekend. Rainy Monday/Tues..followed by bone dry. Then a "Chance" of flurries...maybe. Followed by more bone dry. Followed by a chance of flurries around Dec 1 or 2. Followed by fn bommy ridge after that. Who has a ski pass this year?

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

The Euro shows the GOA ridge pushing the trough down south by the 30th, and the ridge moving in over BC.
Hopefully things change. Tyler Hamilton says an Omega block is setting up to keep the cold around for a while.

I do think we'll see some snow on Tuesday. Probably will end up being 1-2cm of slush...better than nothing I suppose.

Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Greetings crew,
It looks like we might see some flurries on Sun night/Monday/Tuesday right down to near sea level.
I don't foresee any accumulation for a couple reasons. 1.) This will be the first cold air intrusion into the area so ground temps are still pretty warm. The air in the interior is not overly cold. 2.) No snow cover in most regions of BC so friction will cause a slight warming in temps. 3.) There is no defined system moving in. This could always change and as the week goes on you could be in for some surprise snowfalls if any lows form off the coast.
This will be the first official taste of winter, so it's still exciting even if it is a bit tame. Right now we need to saturate the LM with cold air and have ground temps and in fact everything else cool down to a state that it will help keep temps down overall especially if it tries to snow.
Vancouver Island could be in for some trace amounts and decent amounts at higher elevations, so that is something to watch if you live on the island.

Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Thanks for the update Weatherpro, a warning shot is better than nothing I suppose, I'm not really excited about it too many years of let downs. Were's my bottle of egg grog hey Johnny.

Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Well, our best chances are usually the last week of December into early-mid January... Hopefully we see something good by then.
