The EPO and PNA are both much less extreme on the ECMWF Weeklies for the Ensembles over the control. Both the EPO and PNA hover closer to neutral or negative instead of the higher positive numbers the ECMWF Weeklies operational member has.

I saw a few positive readings over Metro on Wunderground, but perhaps those are overexposed.

Looks like officially measured temps remained below freezing even if the sun caused quite a bit of carnage. All this snow will freeze up tonight. That's somewhat concerning for the Friday AM commute...

Sick and tired of people saying they have lived in the Lower Mainland and have never seen ice on the Fraser River or frozen lakes.

It happens every 5 years. 2008, 2012, 2017, 2019, 2021. Used to happen moee frequently.

It does feel warm today after being in the deep freeze since christmas. All the slush on the roads is gonna freeze up this evening and turn the roads into an ice rink. I was surprised how warm it got in Ladner today, temp reached 1.6c an hour ago in the sunshine after being -5.8c at midnight last night
