Hate to say it but that's likely cold rain for me. Others with more elevation may not do poorly but I think near sea level Vancouver has had its win for the decade.
2025-26 season stats:
Climo :cancel: ∞ to 0.5 :14clown: GFS

Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)

I may be wrong but I see Sunday being rather wet with heavy rain and temps between +4 to +7 with the exception being Hope. Ponding and local flooding may be an issue.

My outlook sucks. Just go with WeatherPro's!
Always good to have another viewpoint, even if it verifies.

Snow cover, calm clear night, can this evening over perform in the cold department?

If the clear night part can remain the case until daybreak, it sure can.

What a great gfs run, ends with dry days and probably an inversion kind of pattern to enjoy whatever snow cover we have.

Mountain weather (link https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks ... ecasts/370 )
seems to want to keep me in the snow throughout. Freezing levels peak briefly at 550 to 600 m.
Lots of inches for pornoman!

actually I’ve found this site is excellent for very short term forecasts. Like under 48 hrs. Beyond that it’s a crapshoot but they are often right for my locale with respect to short term snow.

We’ll see….

Still think it will rain Sunday morning through evening then back to snow but who the hell knows.

Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Sunday afternoon looks to be the dicey one to me. The snow level is usually about 300 m below the freezing level. Right on the edge there, and it’s often quite hard to get snow at 2˚C.

Otherwise the snow will be wet and sloppy in your neighbourhood (above freezing), but it will still be SNOW.

While I prefer the 6z endless winter the fake cold would be good as well, might even be able to keep skating. Another possibility is retrograding high pressure and backdoor cold.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!
