Close but no cigar says Mark Madryga
His map doesn’t make 100 percent cents. I would expect hope to hold onto the snow a lot longer as usually happens.

For sea level areas (Richmond, Twas) I do believe next week will be very borderline for us. I do think this week was our score.

As for tomorrow? I think we will see a bit of snow for sure but I do definitely see a changeover of rain for us. I don’t expect a lot down here at sea level this weekend so definitely will enjoy today.

This system coming down has to bring cold with it as the modelled airmass is too warm. Times like these, don’t rely on fake lowland cold temps, use the 500m temps at least. If the air is stable then definitely don’t rely on it. YVR at -10 doesn’t mean much when inland areas are much warmer.

I agree, 3:1 chance it warms up, but for how long, and with what precip intensity will be key.

It will only warm up in the East Valley if a southwest wind picks up otherwise will easily hang onto our cold

The map is a computer model generation. And the models like to scour the cold too quickly especially from the eastern valley

Gfs has been insisting on that scenario. Could be snow other places if the front slows down sooner
