Nice and dry across the south coast thru mid July per the 00z GFS. Looks like the interior and north could get some much-needed rain though.

Gross indeed, there an article in the Chilliwack progress local paper the EC volunteer weather observer said Saturday's 40.9c smashed the record dating back 140 years. so my 40.9c is bang on with his reading. he's only 2 kmh from me. It doesn't mention the old record from 140 years ago.
And l'm sure it was broken again Sunday l'll keep an eye out for it.

I’ve been sleeping in a tent outside. Just got up to pee, and it’s so weird seeing everything wet with dew despite how mild the temperatures are.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Easily enough for triple-digit F heat here if the subsidence makes it down to the surface.

I pointed this out on the American forum. This station is modeled to have a high of 119°F (48°C) today by the Euro model:

https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/times ... aw=0&w=325

Look at their overnight “low,” and how temperatures are already rising despite the sun not being up yet. It might happen!
