I left the onions alone but I did eat the berries pictured. These ones, too (this pic didn't fit in the previous post):
Vaccinium membranaceum, Black Huckleberry
Have been eating wild fruits since I was a child. Dad showed me a few he knew were edible, then I read field guides and learned many others. I only eat what I am sure I have correctly identified as edible.

After today the Similks is sunny and warm the next 6 with highs reaching between 28c and 34C
.. just in case someone is planning a trip up there over the next 7 days

We reached a high of 22.5c in the central valley today A. I. Canada is calling for 31c early next week for the central valley desert
