It could be a very tough year in the Simlkameeens this year. Again
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Looks like some high level smoke may knock a few degrees off the heat this weekend.

Well meteorological summer doesn't start until June 1st and often a couple of weeks of warm weather in May does not continue into June. One big exception is 2015 and that could be a good analog as it was also the start of a strong El Nino. I'm hoping we get a cooler and wetter pattern in June because if not get ready for a smoke show just like 2015.

We were due, we haven't had smoke since November.

Snow aside, I would probably choose Maple Ridge over Langley. Langley has just become terrible, unless you're talking some of the more rural parts. This isn't weather related, but apparently there's a new development in willoughby that tricked the city into taking a plot of land to build a school on in return for development permits. Problem is there was a creek there, City of langley didn't even check, can't build. Now all of these new families moving into that area have no school to put their kids in. There are hundreds of kindergarten kids who have no school to attend next year. Langley is run by morons.

Did you just fix the "general error" thing? Couldn't log in on my phone for the last 24 hrs and couldn't post an hour ago on my tablet. Both seem to be working now.

Environment Canada insists that Abbotsford could reach 34C both Sunday and Monday. I'm skeptical of those figures, especially with possible wildfire smoke. But I could be wrong. At the very least, should see temperatures in the upper 20's to low 30's.
