Welp, we could certainly use more heavy rain I guess... we haven’t had enough of it lately. May as well bring it on.

Even lower elevations could get something out of cold NW flow setups in the past. I'm only at 25m but I recall some pretty decent snowfalls (10cm+) in the past with cold onshore flow.

Driving up to Mundy Park in those setups was like taking the road up to cypress or Seymour. You guys up the hill would get hammered.

Where abouts are you at? I notice the corridor between Catnips Hill and the mountains seems to be an area of lower elevation that often outperforms its "lack" of elevation, or performs much better than other low elevation areas..like Abby and Pitt Meadows as an example. The air compresses slightly through that funnel..cooling it off just enough, imo. In Pitt and Abby, no compressing=lack of cooling = cold rains that those folk are all too familiar with.
Reminds me of Squamish..lower elevation but they get buried in snow often when we arent even close here...not even BBy mtn.

East side of the city...near lougheed and chilko. Don't think we outperform our elevation but we definitely fare a lot better than most of Poco and Pitt Meadows.

I think lower elevations of central burnaby (near the lake) frequently score some pretty big snowfalls in marginal situations despite the relatively low elevation.
