Nice day here at Anchorage. Cool but dry.

The bore tide is really quite amazing. can't believe how quickly the water switches direction when the wave comes rushing in! And also it's crazy loud!

Awesome 😎 Glace ya apparently it's Christmas all year round there. Anchorage is a cess pool for homeless and poverty l read can't believe being outside there in the winter months harsh indeed.

Drug addiction will make people choose misery over comfort every time. One of my wife's cousins became a drug addict in Anchorage (got hooked on drugs at a church youth group of all places). It was only after getting sentenced to 5 years in prison for armed robbery (to get drug money) did he decided to get clean and change his life around.

My favorite spot in the north is Kluane lake in the Yukon. It's so dry that hardly any grass or trees grow on the south facing hills. The hillside smells strongly of sage. The lake is the largest in the territory, and yet had no outflow.

Here is the spot where the Alaska highway was completed in 1942. This is 100 ft above the current highway location.
