173.9 is $0.10 below cost so it is going up for sure. Huge spike in wholesale gas prices today

l couldn't believe back up to 197.9c in the central valley this morning a 17c increase absolutely insanity continues.
As l mentioned on Thursday l saw 179.9c to 194.9c
the 194.9c at the Esso was a sign l suppose.

It needs to be made illegal to charge higher prices for the gas in the ground tanks at the stations when that has already been paid for and no price fluctuation should occur.

Suffice to say Hounderheat since most fuel stations top up everyday they do keep the lower price the day before then put it up after the re fueling it's rigged. :?

Wholesale gas prices (and thus oil prices) are nearing the peak set in early March. Therefore, 197.9 for gas in Abbotsford is bang on what it should be given taxes and wholesale prices.

The Trudeau appointed judges want higher prices though. Studies show people won't start switching to electricity for their energy until gas prices are $2.50 to $3.00 per litre so taxes will increase until prices are that high (unless price fixing does it first).

Unfortunately Houndman, the masses seem to just go along with it.
Not much fight back left people are burnt out from Covid so another crisis has come at a time when everyone's too tired to fight. The oil companies know it as well.

Wholesale gas prices have rocketed up again today, so expect even more pain at the pump in the coming days.

You could see this coming a mile away. I was rolling my eyes at the BoC's "inflation is transitory" comments a year ago. They have accomplished their goal - the rich and powerful have gotten a lot more rich over the last two years. Most of those people are also smart enough to know that the party is over and have taken steps to protect their wealth. It's the average Joe who blew his brains out with cheap mortgages and HELOC debt that is going to be left holding the bag. Many people have blown their home equity on fancy toys, tech stocks and crypto because they thought there was minimal risk.

The long overdue real estate crash looks inevitable as this point. Let's not forget we were in the early stages of a correction pre-COVID, so we've only kicked the can down the road since then.
