TWN forecast for Orlando Florida... if this verifies I don't think anyone here on the west coast can complain about the humidity...

Anyway, restaurants were full, sidewalks were full, people were lined up outside of Earnest. Things seemed pretty normal but I was kinda surprised.
Looked like a Friday night.![]()

Re: June 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
That has not been a believable claim since at least last April, when COVID-19 spread like wildfire among guest workers in Singapore, an equatorial nation of perpetual summer.Weather101 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 1:31 am I thought someone said on here “ hot weather will kill covid “lol how’s that working out.

Re: June 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
The UV was high, no doubt. Peak UV levels are reached at the summer solstice, so there's a much greater chance of being burnt right now compared to late July or August, assuming identical sky conditions.
The only reason I said "fake" is because it's not possible to have a UV Index of 10 at our latitude. Vancouver's maximum UV Index is only about 8. You would have to go down to southern or central Oregon before a UV Index of 10 is possible.
The highest UV Index my Davis has ever recorded was 7.9 in 2013, and my highest so far this year is 7.4.
Seeing as tomorrow is Canada Day, it's worth mentioning that the UV Index which is now used worldwide was invented by Canadians.
Fall/Winter 2025/26

Low max: 2.8C (Feb 19th)
