Insane how fast it dries out after quite a wet winter.

Yes but it's really about the past 60 days that have ony seen a fraction of the normal rainfall for the south coast. Interestingly, Prince Rupert saw record rainfall in March so it looks like the systems went North. Now it's just big ridge everywhere deflecting systems into Alaska and the Yukon. A change might be looming though. The CPC is showing above median precip for the Pac NW for 6-10 and 8-14 day and and some of the recent GFS runs have been very wet toward the end of the month.

That's fine with me. I love having variable conditions. Its definitely nice when its warm and dry but living on the land it becomes a problem pretty quickly.

Such an unreal flip to summer weather. I’ve only recorded 1 day this year with a temp in the upper teens (15-20C) but I have now recorded 3 consecutive days in the 20s. There was never any goldilocks spring weather.

And the beat goes on...looks like it will end up being about 7-8 consecutive days of very sunny and warm weather. After the #coldtroff effects from the past several weeks, this sure feels nice

A bit off topic but super typhoon Suriphae that developed off Palau a few days ago is now the most intense typhoon on record for April and now also one of the strongest ever for any time of year! Pressure dropped to 888 millibars and sustained winds have reached 198 miles per hour., gusts at 230 mph. The monster storm will track north and east of the Philippines and just brush the eastern islands (Samar, Caramines and Bicol region) still this area will likely get hit hard. The Philippines has dodged a bullet, literally, this one is on par with Haiyan in 2013, the strongest storm ever to hit land the one that destroyed Tacloban, Leyte.

It's interesting how these storms seem to be increasing in intensity everywhere else but getting increasingly lamer here by the year. Can't even manage a windstorm or thunderstorm let alone a big snowstorm.
