That's actually good news... less rain over a longer period of time.

Today was originally supposed to be very wet, but it turned out to be just a few showers. A few days ago, the mayor of Abbotsford was expecting 100 mm today, even though the models were showing more like 50 mm at the time. Now it's looking like <10 mm, so we caught a huge break there.

But because we just experienced a major rain/flood event, suddenly everyone is expecting worst for every storm. We should remember that such rain events are highly uncommon.

Very true. Just pointing out that as per long term data, that location should expect to see more significant snowfalls compared with other sea-level cities further south the PNW. Which hasn't happened in many years now, so we're way past due. Maybe something big this winter?

I’m feeling it this winter. The last few winters not so much, but this year I think we will all see some awesome snowfalls. Maybe it has to do with all the extreme and active weather we’ve been having.

But Victoria, Seattle, Olympia, Portland, Salem, Eugene, etc? Either YVR is just very unlucky or there'll be a big one (or multiple) this winter or in the coming years.
