Yikes. Could be the first April snow since 2011 then.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 8:33 pm Been saying that we could see a very chilly start to April. Long range models want to develop a mega block due west over Alaska. Troughing over Western CONUS looks like a lock.
My guess is we see some April snow.

Re: March 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
What sucks is I do not see a rainy pattern any time soon.
Don't want to use the word "drought" but the soil samples I have taken appear to be similar to conditions I observe in July. Tinder dry conditons under tree canopies as well.
Few brush fires have been put out in E Surrey and the Fraser Valley. One today near Tynehead....

Memories of my couple years living down near Kits beach and practicing tennis off the cement wall at the tennis courts. What was fascinating Terry David Mulligan lived afew doors down in a basement suite with his wife, l remember seeing him a couple times and saying hello. He said hello back l was only 10 or 11 at the time he was working at CKLG back then before going to CBC radio back east. CFUN and CKLG were the hot rockers at the time. I use to ride my bike over to CFUN on west 4th ave. I was interested in radio and sometimes l would be allowed into the control room it was awesome times. l met Annis Stukus if anyone remembers him he coached the B.C. Lions at one time and did sports for CFUN after his coaching days.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:15 pm Went to Granville island, had lunch there and watched seagulls dive bombing people's food , quite entertaining, last year my brother n law lost his donut 6 inches from his mouthalso went and played some tennis at Kits beach , can't beat it, my only regret was not stopping at luckys donuts, probably the best donuts in the lower mainland , although I'm quite fond of the honey donuts in Deep Cove.

Oh sheesh. I'm sorta on the fence about heat records. Purely because records are interesting, I want to see them fall, but it's also DEEPLY unpleasant while we're in the middle of it. I remember 09, it was so uncomfortable at night.
