Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Looks like the 18z EPS is better than the OP so for now it’s probably just an outlier. It does set us up for some pretty big 00z runs tonight tho

Yeah. Wants to go full 2011. Just so much spread though.
We could see anything from -10C and snow to +12C with rain by next weekend.

Does he mean -10.1c or below? Because YVR hit -10.0c on December 7th, 2013.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Highly doubt YVR hits -10c with clouds or snow on Wednesday or Thursday. We had the same problem last Jan.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
In between.
I don't trust any scenario that has insane jet supression on a year like this. That said...colder onshore flow would promote more snow chances.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Agreed. The GEM retrograded the PV lobe into BC/WA/OR which basically suppressed the jet into central california.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:40 pm In between.

Re: February 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I'd go with the EPS at this point. Operational probably just an outlier. Likely colder on the 00Z tonight.LadnerWeather wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:17 pm Looks like the 18z EPS is better than the OP so for now it’s probably just an outlier.
