Showers get shredded by Van Island mountain range leading to a rain shadow in a Westerly flow. Clouds redevelop with daytime heating Inland and then bunch up along the Coastal Mtn range.

It's why Hope will do well with snow totals tonight.

12Z Euro looking good.

For cold rain, that is. 925 mbar temperatures have trended warmer.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Mixed snow, rain, hail(?), and ice pellets falling. Chilly outside so feel I’ll do well later on. But who knows
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Sure, you’re not near sea level, you still have a good chance.

Work!

Warning could verify for Burnaby mountain or upper Westwood plateau but I doubt the Mundy Park area (or anyone else below 300m) gets 5-10cm. We'll see though...

The precip intensity with this storm looks insane with some very high based snow cells expected to form in the Great Lakes. This same storm has spawned tornados to the South. It will be a very quick hitting storm but will dump 20-30cm in a few hours. All that with 70km/hr winds.

Guess Toronto will shut down tonight as it typically doesn't handle snow very well.

Yeah... that was my thought as well.

I guess we'll find out.

Mixed precip shower (actually mixed precip, not Nito “rain mixed with drizzle” precip).
It's called clown range for a reason.
