After that looks dry as far as the eye can see with the CPC showing that drying trend with "A-B" for Washington for Temp and Precip for the 6-10 day and the 8-14 day outlooks. All this talk of such a wet, cool, gloomy summer is not really true on the coast, it is for the interior but the coast no way. In Coquitlam June rainfall totals of 42mm were about normal and currently 22.8mm for July is about right on track. Not even comparable to July 1993 or 2011 for cool weather and rainfall.
I may have been exaggerating earlier, but the latter half of June into the first week of July was quite the gloomy stretch. Perhaps not relatively wet or cold but persistently cloudy.

Do any stations still record hours of sun. I think the general consensus seems to be things have been cloudier than normal the past 3+ weeks

I couldn't find any sun data on EC. More budget cuts I assume.

There are no weather stations in BC or Canada today recording sunshine hours.

Already the second wetest July day since Burke mountain began recording rainfall back in 2014.

The third... on 6. To be honest, this is not very significative. ;)

48.3mm until now.
New monthly record in 6 hours though (24.3mm).
I will update at the end of the "storm".

4.0 mm here so far... pretty disappointing. I was anticipating some heavy rain, but maybe there will be a thundershower later.
