Judging by the current onslaught of the Fort it's hard to believe that they actually killed off 85-90% of the eggs . I guess if they didn't ,if true, then there would have been an Alfred Hitchcock horror movie in the making.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Wednesday in the Alberni valley it's been years since we've been over here.
My dad was born here went to the old homestead/farm that my dad lived in.
Harbour Quay is a nice location with a walk along the waterfront. Some shops for eats and treats.
You can see the marine influence entering the Alberni channel it was mid 20's on Tuesday not bad for a usually toasty valley.
Tonight were in Comox the relatives in Oyster Bay were under the weather with red tide but doing well considering.

Mosquitoes aren't bad here, I'd say better than some years even.
A very pleasant day imo, high of 22.1 in Sechelt. Cold tonight though, down to 14.3 c, brrrr.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Lovely photo! That's impressive that the old homestead is still standing. My ex is from Saskatchewan and buildings last forever out there, not like out here. I guess because it's so dry and they don't rot. Hay just jumped another $50 - 75/ton this week up to $750 - $775. Yikes!!! I paid $500 - $600/ton last year. Anyone want to buy some sheep and a horse? Time to downsize.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 10:51 pm Wednesday in the Alberni valley it's been years since we've been over here.

Best wishes to your relatives, I hope they're feeling better soon.
May be time to migrate up a river, no red tide in freshwater.
