Had a dream last night that I woke up to the heaviest March snowfall since 1951. Actually woke up and walked my dog in the cold rain. :bang:

The might be possible if on Feb 28 we fly Rubes to Cancun, then on Mar 1 Bono finds a suitable sacrifice on the runway.

Well it looks like this rain event over preformed for once :o from midnight Thursday night to midnight tonight 32.2mm has fallen in the pond here in south Sardis.

Looks like a prolonged heavy rain event beginning on Sunday and persisting through Monday. Environment Canada has issued rainfall warnings.

10:49 AM PDT Saturday 22 March 2025

Rainfall Warning in effect for:
Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Significant rainfall and rising freezing levels.

What: Total rainfall amounts 60 to 110 mm.

When: Beginning overnight Saturday, continuing into Monday.

Where: Metro Vancouver - Central including City of Vanouver, Burnaby, and New Westminster, North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver, Northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge, Fraser Valley - West including Abbotsford, Sunshine Coast - Gibsons to Earls Cove.

Remarks: A prolonged period of heavy rain and rising freezing levels will begin overnight tonight. The heaviest rainfall is expected during the day on Sunday and Sunday night; periods of rain will continue into Monday before tapering off in the afternoon. Further east, towards Abbotsford, the heaviest rainfall is expected Sunday night and into Monday morning.

Freezing levels will continue to rise during the day on Sunday and stay significantly elevated into next week.

Total rainfall amounts are expected to vary with location. The highest amounts will be near the coastal mountains, from the Northshore through the Coquitlam region. By Monday afternoon between 80 to 110mm can be expected. The remaining regions can expect 60 to 90mm.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

My storm total is 38.5 mm but that includes Thursday.

57.6mm total recorded at the rain gauge in NE Coquitlam on Thursday and Friday.
