No, Snow Wiz is an amateur wishcaster. He is just a weather enthusiast, not a professional meteorologist.Weather101 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 12:57 pm He really doesn't know what he's talking about lol he's legitimately a professional wish caster.
Tyler Hamilton is a professional wishcaster.
It's called clown range for a reason.

No more since this morning, so 84.0 mm storm total it is.

How would you define a professional wishcaster? I don't believe any professional meteorologist wishcasts. Personally, I think Tyler Hamilton does a very good job at forecasting the PNW region.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 1:39 pm No, Snow Wiz is an amateur wishcaster. He’s gotten better, but a few years ago he could be very wishcast-y in his snow forecasts (i.e. playing up the chances of it).

I don't frequent that forum anymore but I imagine Wiz will do his annual meltdown soon and take a hiatus.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 1:39 pm No, Snow Wiz is an amateur wishcaster. He is just a weather enthusiast, not a professional meteorologist.

Re: December 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Models trending drier. Small AR this weekend but most action to our South. Then ridging. Maybe a return to a rainy pattern in about 10 days but this looks like it could be a feast or famine year. Where we get several days of dry weather in a row, followed by an AR, back to several days of dry weather, then a quick deluge, rinse and repeat. If this happens this will be a disaster for the ski season. So let's hope it doesn't happen.

^^February 2015... that's one winter we all won't forget anytime soon.
1976-77 was similar with nearly no snow all the way up at the peak of Grouse at the same time of year.

Welp that was a damn depressing game tonight 6-5 Loss to the Dirtdevils.
Devs score with 33 seconds left. It's currently 7c @ the pond in south Sardis and mostly cloudy. Only thing left to do tonight having afew grogs watching Griswold's Christmas.
