According to a new U.N. report, the global warming outlook is much worse than originally predicted.
Which is pretty bad when they originally predicted it would destroy the planet.

Soooooo...
Summer cancel or what??? ;)

Ok seriously, I know summer just technically started but after all the hype from various sources about another scorcher with wildfires being an issue again, I think many of us were preparing for a 2017 and 2018 repeat. Yet, I personally feel like this summer has a different feel to it? If it means no fires and smoke, I'm happy. But I can't say I enjoy 18-20 C and clouds either in summer. I guess we are just having our normal June weather at the moment, which makes me think maybe this summer will be different than the previous two. I just hope we can get back to sun and 25C again soon. I don't need 35C for days on end if it sets the province ablaze. But I do enjoy 25-30C and I hope we can have it soon!

Maybe this June has had more marine layer days? If the month ended today it would be warmer and drier than last June on the south coast. In 2018 YVR had 16 days with at least a trace of rain in June. Only 6 so far this month.

I haven’t had time to look but it seems like it has been a more seasonal ULL showery pattern for the interior which is likely going to delay the start of fire season this year. Which probably isn’t a bad thing.

I tried that at the bbq yesterday , soon after mentioning global warming she hit me on the head with a block of ice and knocked me out cold. Not the icebreaker I had in mind.

Thursday morning looks quite wet...especially over the Island. Good news for the drought over there.
