Consensus in favour of cold rain in the lowlands tomorrow on the mesoscale models. Think I’ll take a walk up the Grouse Mountain Road in the North Shore Mountains to get my snow fix.

Temps aloft have been running a bit warmer than modeled so it's not surprising to see every suite back ofd the lowland snow chances overnight into tomorrow.

So the mesoscale models can't pick up on the difference in precipitation from that change? I'm genuinely curious. You've been nailing it all winter so I should know better than to doubt lol. I'm not going to the locals anyways, going to Manning Thursday for that surefire powder.
Southerly wind up to 925mb with 850mb temps at +1C and +2C mean rain for the local north shore mountains. Interior alpine areas should fair better.

925 mbar temps look to stay below freezing until tomorrow evening, and drop back below freezing Thursday morning. Still looks like a good mountain snow pattern to me.
Strong winds are possible some locations late tomorrow afternoon and through the evening.
80m wind speed in knots and 10m wind gusts in km/h. Maps are valid for Wednesday at 5:00PM.

I drove to work this morning in some flurries. Was in South Surrey where it snowed for a bit but didn't stick. I saw on the webcam in Fraser Heights we had some snow coverage but by evening when I got home there was no trace except for the field of the schoolyard where it looks like kids tried to roll up some snow.
