To me it is very bad. Seeing those guys in the south being buried and we end up only getting our toes frozen makes me jealous.

Depends on just where in Chile. The Atacama Desert in the north is the driest desert in the world. Decades can pass between measurable precipitation events. The south, however, is a coastal temperate rainforest.

Just keep in mind the moisture has been plentiful the past 2 months up here. Less precip overall down there.
