It's sleeting! One step away from rain.....or one step away from back to snow.

Forrest Gump wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:52 pm Jolly good show! You can't be too far from my daughter's place , one block east of superstore. I'm pretty well at the highest elevation in the semiahmoo peninsula.
Yup, very close. Damn, just saw your elevation in your signature - you're a full 30m higher than me. It'll be interesting to see how much difference that makes in accumulations. My more NE position may help a bit, but probably not enough to compensate for the 100ft.

Very light mixed precip now. 5-6cm in total, but the melting has started :( Temp still 0.6.

That bridge design was a complete fail! From day 1. Sure, that design might be fine for California or where it never snows, but here, it was just idiotic, not to mention the curves in the actual roadway that should never have been there.

wow..very dry there and lower elevation valley floor. considering the snowfall elsewhere in the S area. Glad i didnt buy in there. Last report from cabin was around 16-18" and completely socked in all day

totally agree..especially the curves at the south end..just begging for higher accident rates due to poor design...add in rain and the hydroplaning heading west in that first curve = brutal

Even some places in the western kootenays are getting some pretty heavy rain right now. Check out creston...

I suspect the southern interior valleys will transition back to snow as the low moves east this evening.

Had a nice Winter Solstice walk in the snow at Lake Terrell. Drove out on mostly wet roads till I hit the snow band. Drove back on snowpacked roads all the way home; the snow had become more general in nature while I was there!

0ËšC and really dumping.
It's called clown range for a reason.
