Can you cite your sources for these claims?

Looks like we’ll be making a run for the 20˚C mark tomorrow. EC calling for a high of 19 at YVR.
It's called clown range for a reason.

That's awesome! Hard to believe it snowed over a foot at the place I was staying at in Whistler during the day yesterday.

Just for fun: if YVR hits 19°C tomorrow [unlikely IMO], it will not be daily record  but the 2nd highest temperature ever recorded in March.
Which is the most important? Rhetorical question...

Daily records are so lame. Media (and ECCC) should stop highlighting them.

If a station has been around for 100 years, you can expect 10 daily records for this year alone between extreme max, extreme min, and extreme precip. And if you add in snow, highest low, lowest highest, you're getting close to 20 daily records. Add in wind gusts, humidity, etc, and you're shocked if you can go an entire month without a new daily record.

BTW, it's already the 12th wettest March on record in Vernon with over 40mm (122 years with data). March is usually very dry in the interior.

Plenty of Alpine snow on the way.

Alpine snow for Whistler. Our local Mountains are rain through Sunday with that continued SW flow. We are in this wet mild hell for another 2 weeks.

Winter is going to linger in Eastern Canada through April.
