Thanks again Monty for the night time model analysis it's appreciated, I don't always get a chance to model surf with my work schedule. Hope the night time feedings go smooth and all is well with baby Monty. I wonder if that pattern could bring early snow to the local ski hills.

Could be the occasional bit of snow near the tops of the north shore mountains but looks a bit too mild for anything substantial at this point.


My wife’s been on top of it this time but we’ll see how long that continues. I’m not complaining if she wants to do it. Still usually wakes me up though. The little Monty sounds similar to a chainsaw under full throttle when she gets going. Practically need ear plugs.

Got down to 0.7C here this morning.

My lows for the last three days:

Wed: 0.4C (midnight low)
Thu: -1.5C
Fri: 0.7C

Quite an impressive stretch. I can't remember anything like that happening this early. These are basically normal lows for December and January, but happening in early October.

Edit: My afternoon low of 4.7C at 2:11 pm on Oct 8th also deserves a special mention.

If anybody has been to white rock beach since January they would have noticed a new 17 foot high metal sculpture near the pier. I'll be a sardine's uncle if anyone can honestly guess without googling what the sculpture is supposed to be. And yes , I have the answer.
