Still plumbing/pumbling/pummeling us.

I just happened to have today off as part of my gradual return to work. I just found out that only two kids came into class today as the busses were shut down. Why not just have a snow day ffs.

It's a snow magnet, especially when comparing locales at similar distances inland and/or at higher elevations here in the Lower Mainland. Used to have family in the Cowichan Valley and remember hearing about the insane amounts of snow they'd get during some winters compared to here.

That ridge running through Vancouver is great! Like some were saying, world of difference between SE Marine Dr and 49th Ave.

Been snowing nonstop since I woke up around 7am. Schools closed on Northshore (but my work still open as it follows lead from VSD. At least I get to work from home today and my daughter and husband both enjoying a snow day.) Just measured 7cm on our balcony railing (cleared from melt after weekend snow), but definitely compacted. Nice surprise! I wasn’t expecting so much :)

29cm in front yard. Super fine flakes while it seems like the sun is trying to burn through. 10cm increase since yesterday.

Ya like I'd alluded to before, there is often a LOT of variation here, even within a couple blocks.
