Re: September 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
That's pretty close , it's been getting bad here in South Surrey lately too with a couple of incidents within a couple of blocks from my place and my daughter's in Grandview corners. With that and the increased busyness in our area and high price of real estate I'm getting lobbied by some family members to move to the island to a smaller community but I'm trying to resist, weighing out all the pros and cons , never thought myself to be an island guy. Comox Courtney area seems to come up a lot, I don't know , I don't like change , moving sucks. But maybe it's time for a Cool Change , just like the Little River Band song.

Re: September 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Wow, what an amazing lightning storm last night!!!! The power went out every 10 seconds for like half an hour. At least 30 power outages at my place because of the lightning and moreso because of the wind! 45km/h at my place and my anemometer is sheltered by some trees and my house.
4.3 mm of rain fell in about 15 minutes as well.

It's crazy to see, even though they're outliers, that there are members dropping close to 0C 850mb temps.

Re: September 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Long time no see my BC Butties. I just got back to my homebase in PEI from the ruggedly beautiful and dramatic Cape Breton. What a place that is. I've been to Alaska, Hokkaudo, Colorado, and many other gorgeous places but Cape Breton tops them all for me, despite the lack of snow covered peaks at the moment. These pics don't do justice!

Meat Cove (northern most NS community)

Got bit by black flies in this nice forest

Looks almost exactly like Yellowknife at this higher elevation lake (French Lake)

Skyline Trail. It was windy as Sh*t here. I'd estimate ~130km/h minimum sustained with occasional higher gusts

Nice and lush

Inside the Jurassic Park fence aka the moose exclosure

Had some great beer and food there as well. But all the women have short hair there because it's so windy. No joke!
