Don't worry, your vehicle won't turn into a rust bucket like back east.

Welp that's all for snowflakes pretty much rain ☔ now it was a fleeting moment as those flakes tumbled to the ground and melted like butter on a hot griddle. :(

I washed both our vehicles Friday. Both our vehicles are now owned outright and need to last us many more years. My townhouse complex's street, parking lots around town, and many roads looked like the shore of the Dead Sea. There will be a 10C+ difference between ambient temperature and dew point, yet they're out spreading too liberally that fish-killing, vehicle-eating compound.

I never, ever have or will spread that snow-melt compound on my driveway or sidewalk. If you shovel your property correctly, on a paved surface what's left will either melt or sublimate. During that fun snow even in early 2017 we were snowed in at the basement suite we were renting. Our elderly landlords upstairs spread that stuff on their walkway and part of their driveway. Partly to be a good neighbour and partly because I just want to be outside during a snowstorm, I shovelled their walk and driveway multiple times in that event and that of another elderly neighbour. It was snowing too hard to fully melt. It just made this heavy, wet, sloppy, energy-sapping layer to shovel. 8'' of just the snow on the cold ground was far easier to shovel than the 3" of concrete created by the salt compound.

Make work projects..the Govt at all levels is great at doing this and burning taxpayers money. You will pay even more taxes next year...and next year..etc etc., while they create more lame assed jobs where productivity is usually at an all time BC low. You ever see City workers on the roads?? Lol. 8 guys standing around a hole..1 guy digging..7 others laughing..joking.. chatting..texting..doing nothing.
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)
