It's currently 21c at midnight at the most beautiful pond in south Sardis.

The latest SREFPlumes mean temp for YVR is below 25 this next week. Over the next ~3 days the latest GFS had 2m temps at 31 max for YXX. The latest 00z EPSGram for YXX still only has a max temp around ~31C for the next week. I'm hoping this trend is right because I don't like the extremity that some of the model runs were showing with temps around 35-36. Maybe we will bump up to 32-34C instead of 36-38. It's still hot for us, but hopefully not extremely hot. I'm not trying to downplay this heatwave but I'm cautiously optimistic it's hopefully not as extreme as we were once believing. Let's hope this busts in our favour

On another note, here's a CFS Monthly forecast showing a very wet October! It also shows a very wet November.

Did a quickie overnight camping trip last night to the Harrison Lake area to get some nice dark skies for viewing the peak of the annual Perseid meteor shower from. Would estimate peak rates in the 100–180 meteors per hour range.
