Roberts Creeker wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:28 pm Power out in Gibsons due to a snapped power pole!!! I haven't seen one break at the top like that. It's shut the highway, which is the only way through down so people are stuck on either side. I'm sure happy to be at home.

It's been windy here and the power has flickered but stayed on.
Wow you do get the most exciting weather on the coast Ms. Insaneweathercreeks. I mean from mini tornados and massive snowfalls to amazing ridiculous windstorms and the most power outages. :o how do you handle it? not to mention the most SWS's as well.

It looks like the low tracked directly along the border.... had it tracked 100 km north it would have been a big windstorm. Instead we got heavy rain all night. I picked up almost 28 mm since 2 am. Reports of localized flooding in some areas.

If it tracked that close to the border it certainly was a dud for Abby/ Whack Abby Sr. we got zilch for wind and since midnight we've had 15.4mm it was windier down puget sound way according to AF members. :x

Had lunch today at Loudmouth Brewing on Mt. Lehman Road in Abbotsford. I got the BBQ Bacon Burger, and it might be in my top five best burgers I have ever had. My partner had the BBQ Smash Bro burger (add cheese), and we shared a Smoked Farmer’s Sausage and large Waffle Fries. Everything was fantastic—I’ll most definitely be back!
It's currently 6c and the high today was 10.9c @ the pond in south Sardis.FB_IMG_1740463989462.jpgFB_IMG_1740464016358.jpgFB_IMG_1740464003314.jpg
Man that looks good, definitely putting it on my list. How's the place out your way right on the river called Sidekick Brewing? Sure can't beat the scenery, was gonna try it late last summer but didn't happen.
